DETAILS: An exquisite fine mourning brooch with a lock of blonde hair woven into a fancy knot, held behind beveled glass in a 14k gold and enamel frame brooch. Engraved with initials on back. A beautiful example of old mourning jewelry. PERIOD: Late Georgian to Victorian. MATERIALS: Solid 14k gold back and frame, enameled metal border, gold-filled pin and clasp replacement?

MARKS: Engraved on back with two sets of initials. No maker's marks or hallmarks found; gold tests as 14k.
