Antique Memento Mori Pendant RARE Soldier 19thc Assemblage Albany NY Button READ

I believe it to be from the 1840s-60s, possibly earlier, based on the button piece. Below this button is a small piece of semi opaque natural stone which I believe to be selenite or mica.
