Superb Rare Antique French 14k Gold Diamond Hidden Locket Mourning Posy Ring
A fabulous unique hidden locket mourning posy ring! Made in France in 1888, it's made of solid 14 carat gold and is set with a gorgeous glistening white cushion-cut diamond. A pair of flush fit, hidden hinges open the band in two sections to reveal a smaller internal one, channel set with a beautiful woven hair memento. The inner band is ornately engraved'Charlie 30 Avril 1888'. It's an extremely rare, subtle and esoteric piece with amazing features at every turn!
It's in lovely, gently worn condition for its age with no loss or damage - all hinges and closures work well. Weighing in at 2.7 grams, it's a size 6.25 and cannot be resized.
