Victorian Gold Woven Hair Love Knot Brooch antique 19C mourning C hook

Beautiful 19th century brooch made from brunette human hair and fitted with etched gold mounts. The hair is finely braided and then woven into the open lover's knot with a cap of gold at each end and a gold dot center. Measures 1-5/8" wide and 3/4" high. Has original back with barrel hinge and C hook clasp.
