Victorian - woven hair watch chain with brown hair in two weave styles, Approx. Gold-filled fittings are hand engraved, corrugated, round and slightly elongated. The toggle is stamp 1/10 along with the center piece fitting which suspends the charm.
The charm is circular (1-inch diameter) with rope motif trim. Each side has a miniature portrait, one side of young boy, possibly daguerreotype, and other of a young girl, possibly hand painted porcelain, both seem to be celluloid covered with minor imperfections.Each portrait are prong-set, and showing signs of their age. Very little loose hairs on Spiral weave portion and looseness in (1) area of Mesh weave.
Overall length is 13.5 inch with (10 woven hair) Gold Filled toggle with jump rings on one end and Gold Filled Swivel clasp stamped F & B with their unique oval jump ring also stamp 1/10 on the other end.
